CULTURAL TOUR
Paro-Thimpu-Punakha-Thimpu-Paro
Day 01: Arrive Paro.
 Day 02: Paro-Morning drive to Drugyal
Dzong ( a ruined fortress - 16 Kms away from Paro town). The Dzong,
although in ruins, holds great historical significance.
Afternoon visit the National Museum (Ta-Dzong) and the Paro Rinpung
Dzong. Tea at the hotel and drive for two hours to reach the capital
city of Thimphu. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 03: Thimphu-Visit the Memorial
Chorten, National Library, Painting School, Handicrafts Emporium,
Simtokha Dzong, tashichho Dzong, Pangri Zampa Monastery. Evening
cultural programme and dinner.
Day 04: Thimphu- Punakha / Wangdiphodrang.
After an early breakfast, drive to Punakha and Wangdi. After lunch,
visit the Punakha Dzong, the former winter capital and present
administrative seat of the district.
Day 05: Punakha- Thimphu. Return
to Thimphu. After lunch stroll around Thimphu town for shopping.
Day 06: Thimphu- Paro-After an
early breakfast, drive back to Paro for a short trek to attaksang
Monastery (10Kms) from Paro Town. The name Taktsang means "Tiger's
Nest".
Evening visit some village homes.
Day 07: Paro sightseeing
tour.
Day 08: Departure.
